Blacksmithing day

1 to 1 Blacksmithing Experience Days.

Try your hand at the ancient art of blacksmithing or gift somebody the chance to try theirs. You will get hands on one to one experience, forging small items on the anvil with hammer and tongs with steel heated in the forge. At the end of the day you will have created something to take home with you. Beware it is addictive.

For the full days course you will need to bring -

Work clothes (non synthetic)

Work boots

A packed lunch

I supply personal protective equipment for the day where needed.

Tea and Coffee is supplied.

We generally start with forging a beam hook, to begin with to learn some simple tecniques. like drawing out, twisting and using the anvil to shape your steel.

We then progress on to a larger piece like a poker or a preferred item we can achieve within the day.
